New to Card Counting. Live an hour west of DC. What are the best casinos to count cards? Been to MGM, Horseshoe, Charlestown, and so far Charlestown seems best. I heard MGM has CSMs but I must have missed them. I have no problem making a little drive for a good game. Anyone have success with any casinos around this area?

The competition isn't great lot of call machines. People aren't sizing their bets properly (lot of the times its way to large). The people are casino regulars which makes me believe they are gamblers more than they are poker players.
I feel like I am a decent online player (I could grind up a BR if I had the money to start one) but my live play is very inexperienced. I know bet sizing and what to open and hand ranges to open in what position. What I don't know is how to safely but effectively play against these types of players.

This year has started off terrible. I’m already down 500-600 units (I’d have to look at my notes to be exact, but I’m too angry and ashamed right now to look) on a conservative 1-6 spread at nearest/best Indian casino near me (Hard Rock in Wheatland).
It seems like every set of decks (playing their $15-$25 3:2 DD game: ~75% pen, DA2, DAS, H17, No RSA, No LS) has gone negative, and those that did go positive, I was getting shafted with 12-15 and busting/losing, and push or lost with 20-21-BJ (pushed an unreal number of times on 20).
I can’t help but feel like I’m doing something wrong, but I know I’m counting right, I’m following BS and deviations right, but to be down this hard - an extension of late last year’s losing run - just doesn’t feel right.
Maybe it’s all just really, really bad variance... but man. Shit sucks and it’s starting to wear at the fun of playing. Any advice?

Last night I went to the casino near me and sat down at ($25 min.) single deck blackjack and won $2,000 the first couple hours. A casino near me recently pushed out a progressive bet onto their Double Deck Blackjack games called ‘Blazing 7s, that was a variation of one they already had on 6-deck games. The jackpot on the original was based on 3 suited 7s, so obviously a change needed to be made for double deck... but they REALLY messed up. I’ll provide the pay tables before expressing in detail what will be obvious.
6-deck: ($5 or $25 options for the bet) 1. Player has any 7 in starting hand: 2 for 1 2. Player has pair of 7s: 25 for 1 3. Player pair of 7s and dealer up card 7: 200 for 1 4. All 3 7s same color: 10% jackpot 5. All 3 7s same suit: jackpot.
2-deck: ($25 bet) 1. Player has any 7: 5 for 1 2. Player has pair of 7s: 300 for 1 3. Player has pair of 7s and dealer up card 7: 10% 4. All three 7s same color: jackpot.
Now in double deck, the odds of getting a specific pocket pair would be derived by (8/104) x (7/103), which is equal to 56/10,712, or 1/191.3.
This means that they’re going to pay 300 for 1 for something that happens every 191 hands!!!! This alone breaks the bet ridiculously!
Stealing from wizard of odds that one 7 hits about 14.2% of hands... this payout is grotesquely broken.
How broken is it?
Every 1000 hands played you should spend $25,000 on the bet. You should receive 142 payouts for one 7, totaling $17,750. You should receive 5.2 pairs of 7s totaling $39,000, and some of those pairs could potentially pay even more.
Assuming the jackpot never hits, you’re expected as the player to make $31,750 every 1,000 hands, or profit $31.75 every time you place the bet!!!
An optimal strategy here would be to play 3 hands minimum bet ($100 per hand as this was high limit) with the progressive wager every hand. Assuming the house edge on BJ was about 0.5% (a fair assumption as it is 3/2 with no severe limitations on the game) the EV on each hand is: ($31.75x3) - ($0.50x3), or +$93.75 each hand dealt.
Yes this is real. It was live on the floor for 2 or 3 days before being taken down. To my knowledge it SOMEHOW didn’t get a TON of action, likely because most people just assume it’s another sucker bet? Alas, this is my story of the best sucker bet ever.

I have a weird issue. I was in Europe in March right as everything was shutting down. As I was leaving, I got my security deposit back from my apartment. This was about 500 Euros. This was obviously more than I could spend in the airport on my way home, and I had already closed my European bank account so I couldn't send myself the money the way I was doing before (Euro bank to Transferwise to US Bank).
Now, months later, I still have about 500 Euro that I'm looking to exchange. EUR to USD has an awesome exchange rate right now (1.2) but, of course, I can't cash out. My bank (credit union) and AAA said they haven't been able to exchange currency since March. The one place I found that's open gave me a rate of 1.08 (which isn't the worst). The other thing I had seen mentioned here was casinos. The casino near me on the East Coast says they only do USD. I see Vegas can do foreign currency for a pretty good rate, and I do plan on heading West soon for some traveling anyhow. I feel like I'm wasting time keeping it in cash since its value is just deflating anyhow. I even emailed Bitcoin of America ATMs to see if I could just put Euros in there to buy BTC (I doubt it).

I’ve been doing a microstakes challenge online and had a fair amount of success, but I’d really like to try to play 1/2 live at a casino near me.
