Hey everyone!
It’s Sunday. I’m waking up smelling like damn cigarette and broken lungs because I went to Soboba Casino last night - or about 7 hours ago. It’s currently 8:19 as I type this.
Anyway, it’s been a long week. Thursday was my birthday, I turned 24.
I’ve also been waiting for 2 rants since last week! And they’re gym related too.
So firstly, I want to preface this by saying that yes - I know and have no issue with people just sitting at a machine. It’s a valid thing to be waiting in between sets for yourself to recover a little. But one thing I really don’t like is when people just sit there at a machine texting for well over 15-ish minutes doing nothing.
Someone could be using the machine instead of you, and if you wanna be texting then go sit down somewhere.
Secondly, and this is something I have only seen occur recently at our school gym, but for crying out loud do not drop the equipment and groan so loudly. This is a particularly “dude” thing. Though I have seen one girl lower a machine’s weights really fast but it looked like her arms were really tired. But it’s kind of annoying too to hear that as you groan to yourself.
“Let me show others how strong I am by moaning loudly and loudly dropping this equipment right here.”
But alas, it’s not something common and I don’t see it enough to say it’s an issue whenever I go to the gym as most people are hella respectful. The weirdest but funniest shit I saw once was a girl who wanted to lift the bar and 3 dudes all at once wanted to spot her lmao. Thirsty young’uns.
Anyway, it’s been a week full of some random anxieties for no reason, some fun stuff. Some not fun stuff. Such is life.
