Having spent well over 60 hours with Ichiban Kasuga and company, I can firmly say Like a Dragon is fantastic. If you're after some more elaborate thoughts, head over to our Yakuza: Like a Dragon ... Starting with Yakuza 0, the chronological first game in the series' story, and working your way up to Like a Dragon would take hundreds and hundreds of hours. In Japan, Like a Dragon is still dubbed Yakuza 7 (or Ryū ga Gotoku 7, if you want to be technical). Yakuza: Like A Dragon is the 7th game in the long-running franchise developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and published by Sega. The game brings a change of pace to the franchise with some key gameplay changes. It distances itself from the stylized beat’em up gameplay that the franchise has been known for. Worry not - there's hours upon hours of gameplay to come. Even with its way of storytelling, Yakuza will never devolve into Joel in One Part 2, if that's what bothers you.Dude, no need to be sarcastic. This game is way too cutscene heavy, estabilishing characters is no excuse. Yakuza 1 took nowhere near as much time. The Yakuza series has always portrayed the homeless in a sympathetic light, but Like a Dragon literally puts you in their shoes. It’s rare to see a game spend its first few chapters in the gutters, scrounging for change under vending machines and collecting cans for money. Yakuza: Like A Dragon is not only the first entry into the popular Japanese crime drama to feature the new protagonist, Ichiban Kasuga.It is also the first title in the series to be heavily RPG focused.
